The Solara silhouette in cotton is a different proposition to its silk jersey counterpart. The construction is identical: a halterneck bodice with a deep V-neckline, a centre-front lace-up closure in gold eyelets and criss-cross cord running from neckline to pointed hem, and a gathered hip panel that sweeps diagonally around the body — dramatic on the back, architectural from the front. A centre-front slit opens at the hem. But where the silk jersey version moves and clings, the cotton holds its shape with more authority. The oat tone reads as neutral in the way that only a well-chosen neutral can — it works against gold hardware, against brown leather, against almost anything.
